What does Blackroom Psychology mean by ‘dark psychology’?
We use it as a plain-language umbrella for real research on persuasion, social influence, deception and coercive control — not as a recognised branch of psychology. Online, the term often bundles hype and myths together. We keep the evidence and drop the theatre.
Does this book teach people how to manipulate others?
No. Behind the Veil is written for recognition and self-protection. It helps you identify pressure, evaluate claims and protect your autonomy. It is not a manual for controlling or exploiting anyone.
Is the book supported by research?
It is informed by established research on social influence, deception, coercive control and decision-making, translated into practical everyday guidance. It is educational writing rather than a peer-reviewed academic paper, and it deliberately avoids overstated or sensational claims.
Is this a physical book?
No. It is a digital PDF ebook. No physical item is shipped and no shipping is charged.
How long is it?

How is the PDF delivered?
After your payment is confirmed, a private download link is sent to the email address used at checkout and attached to your order. Delivery is automatic. The file is not published at a permanent public address, and links are tied to your order.

What if my download email does not arrive?

Can I share or resell the PDF?
No. The ebook is licensed for your personal use. Copying, redistributing, reselling or publicly posting the file is not permitted. See our Terms of Service.
What is the refund policy for a digital product?
Because the ebook is delivered instantly and cannot be returned, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds once your download has been made available. We do consider refunds case by case where the product is at fault — for example if your link never arrives, the file is corrupted or will not open, you receive the wrong file, or the product is materially not as described.
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the 14-day cancellation right is lost for digital content once the download begins, where you have given express consent to immediate supply.
